The trip is now officially over, and we are finely home. I am sad but also happy to get home.We left the hotel about 9:00 and got here around 7:00 so we made good time. When we got home we were looking through our big stack of mail and found the pictures of us white water rafting (which we picked out and they sent them to us). I hope you enjoy looking at these last pictures. Thank you so much for reading our blog. I was very encouraged by your comments. We all had a great time. Hope you all have a good rest of the day!:-)

Us white water rafting again

Well this is probably one of my last posts. We have had a great time but we will be glad to get home. I have appreciated all of your thoughts and prayers. We went to the Henry Doorly and then went to Kansas City, Kansas to spend the night. Today we drove for about ten hours and are now here in Nashville, TN. We went to dinner at a restaurant called "The Cock of the Walk" it had probably the best catfish I have ever had. Tomorrow we will have about a 10 hour drive and then we will be home! I will post tomorrow to say that we got home.

Hi! It is very hard to believe that we will be back home on Saturday. We have had a great time. In the last few days we have gone to North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska. I don't have time to say what all we did but I will show you about a few things that were highlights for me. Today we will be going to the Henry Dorley Zoo in Omaha Nebraska, and then will be driving to Kansas City, Kansas. We will be staying with my Aunt Karen and Uncle Glen. I will try to post pictures of the zoo in the next day or two.

We made it to North Dakota yesterday! We went 5 hours out of our way to visit the only state in this region we've not been to so far. Mom and Dad questioned themselves several times as we drove and the temperatures climbed to 104 degrees! We decided to stay in a hotel last night because of the heat. We visited Theodore Roosevelt National Park last night - also called the North Dakota Badlands. They were beautiful. It was worth the long drive. Today we head south to Custer, South Dakota.

The internet connection is slow at the hotel - so I'll try to post some pictures from the campground tonight.

Thanks for checking in. If you haven't looked at the last couple of posts, scroll down. I've posted pictures of Yellowstone, Glacier and Tetons.

Here are our pictures of Glacier National Park. It was the most beautiful place we've been so far. The views were absolutely incredible - glaciers, waterfalls, mountains. It was unlike any place we've been. We all felt very sad to drive away. It was SO worth all the driving. We are already talking of when we can come back.
Make sure you look below for pictures of Tetons and Yellowstone.
A big horned sheep we saw in a tunnel in the park. It was so close you could see it breathing. We couldn't tell if it was scared or relaxed.

A baby mountain goat (doesn't it look like a lamb Mary?)

The boys paddle boating on Cameron Lake in Waterton Lakes National Park (the Canadian part of Glacier). This was funny! We went way too far away from the dock and it took FOREVER to get back. Dad's leg cramped up and he was having a hard time paddling. We finally made it back.

The Bayshore Inn - the place we stayed in Waterton. It was very cute.

Here are a few pictures of Yellowstone. Make sure you look at the post below for some pictures of Grand Tetons. We finally have a reliable internet connection - yeah!
The campground we stayed out in West Yellowstone has been our favorite so far. It had a nice indoor pool (although it was a bit too crowded. Sarah, Campbell, Carter, Mom and I rented bikes. Mom and I pedaled a 2 person bicycle cart which was not nearly as fun as it looked (and a lot of work).
We had 2 days in Yellowstone. It was beautiful to see the mountains, canyons, geysers, hot springs, mud pots and the animals. We saw a mother grizzley bear cross the road with 2 cubs. You are supposed to stay 200 yards away from bear in the park, but this lady was getting out of her car right next to the bear. We all thought she was crazy.
Oh well, here are a few pictures...

Finally I am posting pictures! Our internet connection has been very flakey at the past 2 campgounds. Tonight we are in Billings, MT - and the internet connection is much better. Probably because there are not mountains all around. The drawback is that we've gone from temperatures in the 70s to near 100!
I am going to make several posts with pictures. This first set is of Grand Teton National Park. Our favorite thing here was a boat ride across Jenny Lake that included a hike up to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point (thank you Mr. Regalado for the recommdation!). The hike to Hidden Falls wasn't too bad - but got much harder up to Inspiration Point. It took a while - but it was worth it. It was beautiful. Dad even made it with Carter on his back in a backpack.
Hope you enjoy our pictures.

Hi! Today we went over "Going to the Sun Road". It was very pretty and fun. After we got back we drove over to Alberta, Canada where we are going to spend the night and then go back to the camp site tomorrow morning. We still do not have a good Internet connection so no pictures right now, but we will try to get some up within the next couple of days. I am about to run out of time on a pay computer in a restaurant so I need to hurry. We are still having a great time and are looking forward to seeing you in about a week and a half. Oh, I forgot. Today we saw our first mountain goats. They just stood there with tons of people all around

We are in Glacier!

Our drive yesterday took a lot longer than 7 hours! We left Yellowstone around 11:00 am - and arrived here at 9:45 pm. The roads were crazy. For about an hour we kept having to stop because of cows on the road! They didn't seem to care that cars were there. We would have to wait for them to decide to move. It was very funny.

We are still having problems posting pictures. We will have some time tonight to work on it. Until then....

We are having problems with the Internet connection and so I cannot post pictures. Today we went and saw some hot springs and then took a hike to see a waterfall. I have a funny story. We were staying in a hotel a few nights ago. The next morning we got all packed up and ready to go, but we made the mistake of getting everybody on the elevator at the same time with all of our luggage(never do that). So we were on the elevator when it just stopped. So all of us were stuck in the elevator with all our luggage not fun. The good thing was we were only stuck about 5 minutes. I think that is all for now because I am really tired. Tomorrow we will head to Glacier it will be about a 7 hour drive.

Yes, I am finally making a post. (probably as much me being pestered by Shelby as anything else) Yesterday, we drove down into Grand Teton National Park. We took a boat across Jenny Lake, and hiked up to hidden falls and inspiration point. While I do have pictures, the internet connection is not good enough at this point to post them. I will post the pictures as soon as possible. Also, today we are driving to Yellowstone. I will post pictures from that as well. I hope that the day goes well for everybody. I will post again sometime soon.

We had a very full day yesterday. We went shopping in a morning then we had lunch. After lunch, we went on Trail Ridge Road. The road takes you over the mountains through Rocky Mountain National Park. It takes about 3 hours to make the whole drive. Once we got across Trail Ridge we drove about another hour to Denver to the Casa Bonita (for anyone that does not know it is a restaurant that you do not go to for the food but for the show). A funny thing that happened was when Sarah got her drink she spilt it and a few seconds later a pirate person came running around the corner chasing someone and he slipped on the drink and fell! My cousin, Jacob and I thought it was pretty funny. We had a waiter who needed a differrent job! He was very stressed and it took him a while to bring back our food (it is an all you can eat, you just raise the flag and they bring you more food). And once Jacob asked for more lemonade and he started pouring the lemonade into my empty Diet Coke cup! It was pretty funny. I will post pictures later this afternoon becuase I am going white water rafting!!! I am very excited.

I had a very fun day we took a hike a to place called Cub Lake it was about 2.3 miles each way plus some was uphill. It was funny because Campbell went and he did better then Sarah. Then we went back to the house had lunch then we went and played mini golf.It was funny because Carter did really good he got 1 or 2 hole in ones! Then we went and got soaked at bumper boats and now we just finished dinner and we are about to go some where so here are some pictures of some stuff we did today(and one picture of something we did yesterday).
